WHOOMP There IT Is! #28 - My Motto

Ever since I started quilting almost 5 years ago, housework and chores have been moved to the farthest back burner ever!  My house is not a complete pigsty, but instead of daily/weekly cleaning, it's become monthly/bimonthly cleaning. No offense to you cleaners, but cleaning is so over rated. So of course 'twas love at first sight when I saw this motto:

With this being said, I actually did laundry and some house cleaning this week.  It is spring after all.

On the sewing front, the Mr. PeePotty belly bands are piling up! This order should be ready to ship by next Friday.
And speaking of next Friday, WHOOMP There It Is! will be on vacation.  I'm not going anywhere, just taking a little break. There is a change coming and I'll tell you all about it on Friday, May 6th so stay tuned.

Oh! I almost forgot to tell you something! I'm working on my very first quilt pattern! My good friend Greta, of Material Detachment, gave me EQ5 (Electric Quilt) for Christmas.   I attempted to install it on my computer as soon as I got it but quickly got discouraged because it didn't work like it should have.  I wrote to EQ Support for help on Feb 1 and they replied Feb 2, however it wasn't until April 15 that I followed their instruction and got it installed.  And let me tell you...it's AMAZING! I realize the newest version is EQ7, but I'm pretty darn smitten w/EQ5. So now I can say, "why yes, I do EQ". heheheh.  Another thing to stay tuned for is my quilt pattern!

Thanks for coming back week after week y'all. I really do appreciate you!

Now it's your turn to Sew & Tell.

  1. I hear you on cleaning! I only do it when I have to, when there is too many dust bunnies from quilting on the floor! Although I do get in a cleaning frenzy every once in a while!

  3. After reading the first paragraph I wanted to give you a big hug. Only because I have discovered I am not alone! I have been thinking that I really need to get to my spring cleaning, but I also really need to get a few projects done first. Thank goodness everyone has been trained to pick up after themselves (sorta) so it's not a disaster in the house. Just dusty and in need of a good sweeping and mopping!

  4. LOL I told my husband about your saying. He likes it too! We pick away at it and no one has died from a not-so-clean house, right?

  5. I'm with you! For me, I always plan at least one or two parties throughout the year so I have to get the house clean before them, even if I don't do it any other time! Thanks for the link-up!!

  6. I decided after our only left home that anything short of embarrassing if someone just showed up to visit was acceptable. The laundry's always caught up and the dishes are always clean but the baseboards might be dusty and the mantel doesn't get cleaned very often, etc. Thanks for the laugh.

  7. Cleaning is very much overrated. And when I win the lottery, I'm hiring a housekeeper LOL Look forward to hearing about the changes for Whoomp.
