I'm in some kind of funk lately and I don't have much to say today, but I wanted to share my progress.
Diamonds and Purples is finished 68" x 80".
Spinning Stars is also finished 43" x 62".
I made a coordinating pillowcase |
To reward myself for these two finishes, I sewed all my 1" strings together in jellyroll race fashion to make this panel. The panel is still just a flimsy but I plan on quilting it and making it a wall hanging. I also made a rag bag tote.
If you pray, pray me out of this funk please. Thank you and God bless.

ReplyDeleteI will pray for you.
Zenia, I just said a prayer for you. It can be hard around the holidays. Lots of memories and missing people.
ReplyDeleteYou have been doing beautiful things! all the quilts you have made are wonderful and I am quite intrigued by your 1" string quilt. I've never seen anyone do that before.
Such pretty work. I hope you get out of funk soon. It's never fun to be stuck in one!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if you got my message via G+ the other day, but you are a no-reply blogger. Check out my post titled I Was a No-Reply blogger to learn how to fix this.
DeleteThat wall hanging is gorgeous!! Lucky you! I also like how the binding on the dancing stars keeps them dancing to the very edge. I hope your funk is nothing that a good weekend of sewing can't cure. I am SO looking forward to getting in a few stitches (finally!) this weekend. Be happy you are so talented and so persevering to get it all done!
ReplyDeleteYou might not have much to say but you've been really productive. Very pretty quilts!
ReplyDeleteThe quilts are beautiful. I also think a certain little girl is going to love having a pillowcase to match her quilt. You gave me a grin using the term "funk". I totally get how you're feeling and wish you a quick uplifting event to pull you out of it.
ReplyDeleteSeems to be a rather productive funk. Hope you can replace it with a productive joy soon. I can't wait to see what you do with your string project.

DeleteGreat work :) Hope the funk subsides - that wallhanging has to bring out the smiles.
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely finishes - your spinning stars look amazing. Am praying for you. xx
ReplyDeletePerky strings, and love the quirky outline of the purple diamonds. Be gone, funk!!!! Leave her alone!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects, you will find your way back!! :)
ReplyDeleteDiamonds and Purples is incredible. I love the jagged edging and hope that wasn't too much trouble. Your string quilt is going to be awesome, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you Snowcatcher. I like the way D&P turned out. 'Twasn't too much trouble at all. Thanks for visiting and commenting. Normally I reply via email, however, you are a no-reply blogger. If you have ever wondered why peeps don't reply to your comments it's because of this. Check out my post titled I Was a No-Reply blogger to learn how to fix this.

DeleteLove that string wall hanging to be! Well done it seems like you have been very productive ! Thanks for linking up your #scraptastictuesday project!
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but that string wall hanging makes me hap hap happy!! I am sorry to hear of the funk. It is hard when days get short and holiday stressers set in. Take yourself outside for alot of walks. We are all out here thinking of you! hugs!
ReplyDeleteI like that little string wall hanging. It's so colorful and a fun use of skinny strips.
ReplyDeleteSorry you feel down. It will get better, stick with your 10 mins even if your funk tells you not to bother. Your work is worth it, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you still press ahead when in a funk. Quilting cheers me up. At least I am doing something! Nothing like a jelly roll race to get the adrenalin flowing. It is in such cheerful colors too!
